Following too closely behind other vehicles is a dangerous way to get to and from where you are going. If the vehicle in front suddenly brakes or if you become slightly distracted, you could rear end that vehicle. Also, depending upon how fast you are driving you can become seriously injured or injure several others on the road. If you are behind a car, leave space for another vehicle to easily fit in between you and the vehicle in front of you. In a situation where a vehicle is following closely behind you, you can still create a safe distance. You can move over to a different lane if you're on the highway, or if it's a smaller road, allow the car behind you to safely pass. 'Brake checking' is too risky of a game to play when a car is following you too closely. Stay safe on the road by paying careful attention to your distance from the vehicles around you.
